From the Founder
ALTAR grew from a season of deep recalibration.
After navigating cancer in 2019 and a period of environmental stress, my body became more sensitive and my relationship to care changed. My skin required more gentleness, more discernment.
What began as necessity became ritual.
Through touch and scent, I began rebuilding a sense of safety in my body. A deeper awareness of what I was taking in, through food, environment, and skin followed.
Living rurally, I returned to making skincare by hand.
ALTAR, and SUNVEIL, were born from that place.
Each bottle is made slowly in the high desert of New Mexico - altar-made, in rhythm with a life that has learned not to rush what matters.
